Mangrove Park Tower The Mangrove Park Tower sits to the east of one of the few protected mangrove reserve forests in China, and the main design consideration was to provide every apartment with a view towards the park whilst maintaining favorable southern exposure. The tower was designed to have a thin profile to minimize shadows cast over the mangrove reserve, and to maximize natural ventilation through appropriate apartment configurations. The final building envelope is thus the result of the confluence of environmental axes and domestic space planning, rather than through a search for whimsical form.
